The novel we are reading is Stig
of the Dump, by Clive King.
Chapter
4. Page 56.
Barney
took his hat off and scratched his head. How was he to explain to Stig about
the meet of the fox-hounds, and how he wanted them to join in? He looked at the
drawings on the wall of the cave and they gave him an idea. He put down the
spear and picked up a charred stick. ‘Look Stig’, he Said. ‘Fox!’ And he
carefully did his best drawing of a fox on the wall of a cave.
This part of the book inspired our Thursday Art lesson.
